WGBI’s mission and global impact

With over 275 members worldwide, the organization has become a powerful platform for fostering professional growth, offering mentorship, and driving innovation. Launch of the WGBI Latin America chapter
The establishment of the LATAM chapter is a pivotal step forward in WGBI’s global expansion. Under the leadership of Grace Rocha, a research scientist and passionate advocate for diversity, the LATAM chapter aims to address the unique challenges women face in the region’s battery industry while providing mentorship and professional growth opportunities. As Grace highlighted in her recent interview, the Latin American market presents a wealth of untapped potential, particularly in the development of auxiliary batteries for electric vehicles. WGBI’s LATAM chapter will help women across the region seize these opportunities and ensure that their contributions to the battery industry are recognized and valued.
