Safety Training

The lead battery industry follows strict regulations in the manufacturing, shipping and recycling of lead batteries. Innovative recycling facilities have been developed to recycle lead battery components, and industry-supported regulation ensures that these products are returned to appropriate locations for reuse.

Comprehensive Employee Safety Training

Safety training is a cornerstone of workplace protection in lead battery recycling. Rigorous, ongoing programs give employees the knowledge, skills, and awareness needed to safeguard themselves and their colleagues. On average, operations employees at U.S. lead battery recycling facilities receive 32 hours of safety training per year, covering topics such as proper use of personal protective equipment, lead exposure prevention, emergency response, hazard identification, and hygiene protocols. Continuous education, including refresher courses and shift talks, ensures that safety knowledge stays current and employees are prepared for evolving workplace challenges.
