National Battery Day
To help members celebrate National Battery Day, ALBCI has created a digital toolkit where you will find a collection
of assets and resources to use in your communications, including:
- A new blog post showcasing lead batteries' role in transportation, communications, national
security and realizing
a greener future
- A new video that presents powerful stats supporting
the essentiality of lead batteries in everyday life
- An infographic highlighting lead batteries' domestic supply chain and ready-to-scale

Economic Impact Study
In October 2019, BCI released a new study titled, "Economic
Contribution of the U.S. Lead Battery Industry,"
which details the contributions lead battery manufacturers and recyclers make to the economic growth of the U.S. One
of the topline messages is that the U.S. lead battery industry drives economic growth by employing more than 25,000
people and, in
2018, it produced an overall $26.3 billion economic impact while powering nearly 275 million cars and trucks. Learn
more about the study. Download the electronic toolkit.

Storing Tomorrow's Power Today
Storing Tomorrow's Power Today celebrates the essential
role that innovative lead batteries play in our energy future. The video tells the story of both expected and
unexpected uses of lead batteries.
Beyond providing energy storage for over 270 million vehicles and 65 percent of forklifts in the U.S., lead
batteries improve the reliability of renewable energy facilities and protect the $1 trillion U.S. communications
infrastructure with uninterruptible
power supply. Learn more about the video. Download the electronic
toolkit for suggested social
media posts, video files, stills and GIFs.
Safe, Sustainable, Good Neighbors
Safe, Sustainable, Good Neighbors seeks to provide a
powerful visual narrative to tell the story of BCI member companies, their employees and the local communities where
they operate. This-six-and-a-half-minute
video was filmed at BCI member facilities across the United States and features employees telling their personal
stories of why they chose to work in this great industry. Learn
more about the video.
To help members celebrate Earth Day, ALBCI has created a digital toolkit with resources to share the story of a true sustainability
hero, the lead battery. You'll find sample social media posts, video files, graphics and more. ALBCI also created a
new video that
shares how lead
batteries celebrate Earth Day every day through their innovation towards a cleaner, greener future.
This year's theme is "Invest in Our Planet." Our industry reflects that message with a contribution to a sustainable
future with a 99% recycling rate, a closed-loop process that forms the perfect example of a circular economy and a
growing presence in
providing energy storage solutions for renewable power sources.
