East Penn Manufacturing Co. recently announced the promotion of Lawrence (Larry) Miksiewicz to the Sr. VP of Manufacturing & Purchasing. He will be reporting directly to Robert Flicker, Chief Operating Officer.
In his new position, Mr. Miksiewicz will oversee each of the company’s manufacturing divisions including Automotive, Industrial (Reserve Power & Motive Power), and Diversified (Wire, Cable, Accessories, and Injection Molding). Mr. Miksiewicz’s oversight also includes East Penn International (a division that serves the Asia-Pacific market) and the many Purchasing departments that support the company’s manufacturing divisions. The company has also promoted other key management positions within its manufacturing organizational structure.
Prior to this position, Mr. Miksiewicz held the title of VP of Manufacturing & Purchasing for the Industrial Division. His extensive experience within manufacturing management includes Director of the Industrial division, Plant Manager of East Penn’s Specialty plant (S1), and Plant Manager of its Automotive plant (A3). He joined East Penn in 1987 as a Project Engineer, and received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. He currently resides in New Tripoli with his wife, Jami, and has 3 children.
